SoulMates Animal Care Referral Network maintains a network of professional service providers, who offer excellent services to our clients. SoulMates insures that all service providers are fully vetted through a rigorous screening process, which includes a fully comprehensive background and reference check in order to be part of the Network. The Network includes many long term professionals who have assisted clients in Marin County for generations.

Karla Rasmussen, owner and CVO

Karla began her career in animal care in 1993. Since then, she has specialized in connecting animal care specialists with clients and their animals throughout Marin County and San Francisco. Karla has built a company in which integrity and relationships with her clients and their animals are the core of its foundation. Karla is a founding member of and sits on the board of the Marin Pet Care Association, a group dedicated to promoting best practices for professional dog walkers, sponsoring classes and events in Marin County. She also sits on the board of Marin County Dog, and worked with them to oppose and successfully block the severe limitations on dog walking in Marin County proposed recently by the GGNRA.

Karla founded KK-9, Inc. in 2020. She offers individuals and families her wealth of experience and knowledge to assist with their dogs and puppies, including how to prepare for a new puppy arrival, guidance and training services at all stages of their dogs’ lives.

Karla specializes in finding the best fit for every client and their animals, by providing a network of service providers who reflect her deep commitment to the well-being and joy of every animal.
